Goh Chok Tong

Year of graduation: 1964
Current position: Emeritus Senior Minister

Career highlight:
Mr. Goh Chok Tong is a Singaporean politician. A member of the People’s Action Party (PAP), he became Singapore’s second Prime Minister on 28 November 1990, succeeding Lee Kuan Yew, and served in the role until 12 August 2004. He subsequently served as Senior Minister until May 2011, and as Chairman of the Monetary Authority Of Singapore (MAS). He continues to serve as an MP representing the Marine Parade Group Representation Constituency and holds the honorary title of “Emeritus Senior Minister”.

Lim Chong Yah

Year of graduation: 1955
Current position: Professor Emeritus, National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University

Career highlight:
A well respected Economics Professor, Professor Lim was the former chairman of the National Wage Council (1972 to 2001) and was head of the Department of Economics and Statistics in the National University of Singapore from 1977 to 1992.

Lim Chin Beng

Career highlight:
In his 30-year career with Singapore Airlines (SIA), Mr Lim Chin Beng started as an administrative trainee, before becoming its Managing Director. He has subsequently been nominated to be the Chairman of Singapore Technologies Aerospace, Singapore Press Holdings, Valuair Limited and Changi Airports International.

Ngiam Tong Dow

Career highlight:
In a Civil Service career spanning 40 years, Mr Ngiam Tong Dow has served as Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of National Development. Concurrently he also chaired the Singapore Economic Development Board, the Development Bank of Singapore, the Singapore Telephone Board (which merged with the Telecommunications Department to become the Telecommunications Authority of Singapore). On retirement he was appointed as chairman of the Central Provident Fund Board and the Housing Development Board.

S Dhanabalan

Year of graduation: 1960
Current position: Member of Council of Presidential Advisors; Chairman of Mandai Safari Park Holdings

Career highlight:
Mr S Dhanabalan served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Culture, Community Development and national development. A well respected leader, he was subsequently appointed to be the Chairman of the Singapore Labour Foundation, Singapore Airlines and Temasek Holdings.

S Chandra Das

Year of graduation: 1964
Current position: Chairman of NTUC FairPrice

Career highlight:
Mr S Chandra Das previously served as the Chairman of the Trade Development Board, as well as the Central Co-operative Fund. He also served as Singapore’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, resident in Singapore from 2006 to 2015, and was appointed Singapore’s Non-Resident High Commissioner to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in 2015.

Ho Kwon Ping

Year of graduation: 1964
Current position: Chairman of Singapore Management University; Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings

Career highlight:
Mr Ho Kwon Ping is one of Singapore’s most prominent businessmen. He is the chairman of Wah Chang International Corporation, and of Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, a regional hotel chain which operates exclusive luxury hotels, resorts and health spas.

Niam Chiang Meng

Current position:

Career highlight:
Mr Niam Chiang Meng was the former CEO at the Housing and Development Board and served as the Permanent Secretary for Communications and Information, Community Development, Youth and Sports, Law, National Population and Talent Division (NPTD) and National Climate Change Secretariat (NCCS). He retired from public service in July 2016.

Ravi Menon

Year of graduation: 1987
Current position: Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)

Career highlight:
Mr Ravi Menon served as the Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Finance (from 2003 to 2007), before becoming the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Trade & Industry (from 2007 to 2011). He has been the Managing Director of MAS since 2011.

Josephine Teo

Career highlight:
Ms Josephine Teo was previously the Minister of State of Finance and Transportation from 2011 to 2013, before being promoted to Senior Minister of State in 2013.

Sun Xueling

Current position: MP (Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC); CEO, Business China

Career highlight:
Ms Sun Xueling started her career with the Economic Development Board. Subsequently she worked in the private sector for DBS Bank (Singapore) as Assistant Vice President, Senior Vice President in Macquarie Capital Securities HK and Director, Deutsche Bank AG, HK. Ms Sun Xueling joined Temasek as a Director in 2014.
